Graduating from University Of East London in 2008 with a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art, Yodet went on to document as much of her personal experiences as possible-and exhibiting in varies art group and solo shows between 2007-2011 across the hub of East London UK, and performed spoken word at an established poetry night 'Hammer & Tongue' based in London.

Yodet has always been a keen observer and took the opportunity to produce and host a regular radio show on Resonance FM from 2011 archived on www.thecircleda.com.

Yodet's background has cultivated her state of being, in giving her an opportunity for deeper understanding of people, situations, cultures, history and modern culture. Her parents originally from Eritrean, she, born and brought up until the age of 7 in Naples Italy, then relocated to London UK where she still resides.

Yodet was involved in activism for over a decade, championing social causes. With an Anarchist spirit she uses art as a form of inner self expression.

Yodet works in multiple mediums & genres, including but not exclusive to - paint, video, poetry, sound, movement and performative art. She's inspired by the power of communication that intrinsically resides within the art form; Mythology, Folklore, mysticism, ritual, the archetype, Surrealism, Dadaism, Situationism and The Fourth Way. In recent years Yodet has been a keen explorer of The Occult and consciousness across cultures.
She has been intuitively absorbing Eastern and Western esotericism and incorporating it into her work. By doing so, offering a distinct captivating voice in the art space, distinguishing her work as a unique & exciting contemporary genre. Combining the older with the new, in her conceptual & creative style process not merely as an onlooker, but with a depth of conscious embodied engagement-actualised.
